Iron Yard Forecasts Revenue With a Health Check Built In

A category-weighted forecast that doesn't just trust what a rep marked "Commit" in the CRM — it cross-checks it against the deal's actual health and flags the ones quietly at risk.

Iron Yard today shipped Revenue Forecasting, a category-weighted view of what's actually likely to close — this month and two months ahead — with every deal's forecast category cross-referenced against its real health score.

"The worst forecast surprise isn't the deal that was always shaky. It's the one everyone called 'Commit' right up until it wasn't. That's the exact gap this was built to close."

The forecast breaks pipeline into Commit, Best Case and Pipeline, the same categories most CRMs already use, but adds a layer no CRM offers on its own: a health overlay that flags the specific gap between what a deal is marked as and what it's actually doing. A deal sitting in "Commit" that Iron Yard's own stall-risk detection has flagged as at-risk shows up clearly, instead of quietly inflating the number everyone's relying on.

Closed-won revenue for the month sits alongside open pipeline rather than being folded away once it's booked, so the full picture — what's already landed and what's still moving — is visible in one place. The forecast is correctly scoped per rep throughout, never silently summing the whole company's pipeline against a single target.

Confidence weighting adjusts per week and per category as the month progresses, so the forecast on day three and the forecast on day twenty-five reflect how much of the month is actually left to work with.
